MBRASE - Mind-Body Recovery & Somatic Empathy

An integrative approach to mind–body recovery, developed by Adi Farkash, a somatic psychotherapist. The approach integrates somatic psychotherapy and Focusing with principles of “third-wave” psychotherapy, with an emphasis on experiential treatment, radical acceptance, and compassion. It is grounded in the understanding that body and mind constitute a single system of healing, regulation, and consciousness.
The approach emerged from extensive clinical work in rehabilitation hospitals, hospital rehabilitation departments, and private practice, and offers treatment that leads to a significant improvement in vitality, resilience, and quality of life.

Clinical Practice

The MBRASE clinic is a therapeutic space offering an integrative approach to mind–body recovery. The approach combines somatic psychotherapy and Focusing and is based on the understanding that body and mind are one system with an inherent capacity for healing. At the clinic, Adi Farkash and additional certified therapists provide individual therapeutic processes for people in recovery after illness, injury, or traumatic events, as well as for those experiencing a sense of stagnation or seeking a complementary therapeutic response alongside a medical rehabilitation process. The process includes experiential work with the body, identification of personal resources, emotional processing, the development of a new dialogue with pain, and connection to a changing sense of identity in the shadow of crisis

Training Program for Therapists

A first-of-its-kind program in Israel for training therapists to work within rehabilitation and healthcare systems, using an integrative approach that connects body, mind, and consciousness. The training program emerged from many years of clinical experience and provides therapists with practical tools for integrating a mind–body approach into medical treatment settings and private practice. The program is suitable for therapists and facilitators working with mind–body approaches, psychotherapists, and care professionals seeking to integrate into rehabilitation work or to expand their clinical practice. The program includes experiential and theoretical learning, individual and group supervision, practicum experience in rehabilitation hospitals, and professional workshops

MBRASE in Healthcare Systems

Integrating MBRASE into healthcare and rehabilitation systems enables the creation of a diverse, focused, and effective integrative therapeutic framework, connecting an applied clinical model with hands-on therapeutic work within the system, as part of the teams’ professional routine.

Voices Along the Way

The MBRASE approach views the body as a gateway to healing, change, and growth. Movement, sensation, and bodily awareness form a non-verbal language for expressing emotions and inner experiences and serve as a key to recovery and to living a fuller life.
